ECM - unable to complete a task as the button is missing and mouse icon is just spinning.

Solution:

ECMPROD-LEG-01 virtual server was frozen in vSphere - Legacy server is responsible for trapeze components, tasking, smart client, classic etc..

Powered off the Virtual Server and Powered back on using vSphere.

Rebooted the server once it came back up and confirmed working.
